FMLA – Family Medical Leave Act – entitles eligible employees to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job protected leave every 12 months for family and medical reasons. The Employee must work 1250 hours in the previous 12 month time period. If your employer violates FMLA, you have a cause of action.
